by Geoff Forester Profile Betsy Black has more than 20 years of experience working as a trainer and facilitator with nonprofit organizations, businesses and individuals. Working as a coach, facilitator, and consultant, Betsy helps individuals and organizations (nonprofit and for-profit) to assess and celebrate progress and plan for the future. Betsy is credentialed as an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation and graduated from Coach U, a program dedicated to training coaches worldwide. While at the Loan Fund she was instrumental in developing an integrated organization-wide staff training program that increased coordination among divergent program areas, empowered staff to serve as organizational ambassadors, improved service to clients, and strengthened the mission and effectiveness of the organization. Betsy is a member of the International Coach Federation and completed Coach U's Core Essential Fast Track Program. She graduated from Middlebury College in 1981 with a B.A. in American Studies. Formerly a lawyer in private practice, she graduated from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 1985. Betsy also has worked as a media spokesperson, fundraiser, bicycle trip leader, journalist and photographer, entrepreneur, and women's health advocate and counselor.
