In business since 2002, Betsy Black Consulting focuses on improving people’s lives through community development finance and personal effectiveness.

With more than 20 years experience, Betsy works with community development financial institutions and entities throughout the United States in the areas of lending, financial analysis, capitalization, outreach and grant review. She is part-time loan and outreach officer for the 35 year old Cooperative Fund of New England. Formerly she served in a variety of staff roles at the NH Community Loan Fund.

In the realm of personal effectiveness, she has a life and business coaching practice, and teaches yoga and stress management. (See Clients and Audiences for more information).

Betsy holds a B.A. in American Studies from Middlebury College (1981), a J.D. from Franklin Pierce Law Center (1985). She received accredited coaching training (2004) and is a certified Kripalu Yoga teacher (2003). Betsy has served Toastmasters International at the club and area levels, receiving the organization’s highest award, the Distinguished Toastmaster in 2006.

For pleasure she heads for the outdoors and is an avid hiker, runner, alpine skier, and long distance bicyclist.
